Magical Miss Journee

Miss Journee we wish you would stay,
please Miss J, so you can play.
Miss Journee we felt a sensation,
when we saw your blog of you on vacation.

As soon as you got to NBC we said 
 'Miss Journee is here! at last! 
you are no egghead!
so let's keep you in class!"

Oh Miss Journee you make us cheer,
with all the stuff you did.
Miss Journee you are so dear
and inside your just a big kid.

Why did you leave? I don't get the point,
all that I know is that you're adroit.
You taught us immeasurable stuff,
and with that I will not fuss.

Miss Journee your alway so gay,
we hope that you enjoyed your stay.

What I enjoyed this week

This week I have enjoyed giving to the New Brighton food fridge.

On a Wednesday nearly everybody from school brought an item of food to give to the food fridge.
People had brung all different kinds of food for the fridge such as cans, tea☕️, pasta🍝, yogurt and biscuits🍪,

The New Brighton food fridge is a mini cupboard that people donate food to so if there is anyone who can't afford food they can come to the fridge and take a bag full.

When the yr7 and 8 pupils walked down to the New Brighton food fridge with the food we filled nearly every shelf in there!

I hope that you and others can come to the New Brighton food fridge to donate some food for others. Thank you!!

Why we should leave our sports gear on on Friday.

 Personal goal:  use a range of precise volcabulary to communicate the meaning.

Dear teachers of NBC,
In this exposition I would like to address why we should leave school on Friday with our sports gear on. I hope that after you have read this you will strongly agree...

Argument 1: It should be part of our uniform, it has our logo on it!I know that we take a lot of pride in our uniform, but we should take more pride in our sports gear.Our sports gear has our logo on it and is considered part of our NBC uniform so why can't we wear it in public or just in the car back home? I'm sure that if anyone saw us in our sports gear they wouldn't think "that student looks so untidy and scruffy in their sports gear" or "they are showing disrespect to their school", they probably wouldn't even take any notice!
I find it annoying and confusing, that if we have a mufti day we MUST get changed back into our mufti clothes. I don't understand the reason because our mufti clothes are not part of our uniform but our sports gear is so I think that should be changed too.

Argument 2: I would like to say that it takes a long time to get changed!Our parents or siblings may be in a hurry and we still aren't changed into our 'proper uniform' then we will make ourselves, parents or siblings late for something. Also we or our siblings may just want to get home and relax for the weekend. How would you feel when you are in a hurry for something important but have to do something meaningless first? Also, after all the yr 7&8s have played their Sport games, some of them need to pack up the Ki O Rahi field before getting changed which means our changing time will go in to our home time.
Don't you think that it is waste of learning time to get changed into our uniform, wear it for about 10-15 minutes then take it off, if instead we could be learning some Korean or maths instead?
Argument 3: It's Simpler to just leave school with it on!I think it would be straightforward to leave school with our gear on because we could just finish winter sports, pack up and then leave for the weekend so we can spend time with our family. Another reason is that it would be simple to leave with our sports gear on is that most of us would wear our gear in the car and as soon as we get home we would take it off.
Conclusion: I think that we should be able to leave our sports gear on on Fridays because it is part of our uniform, has our logo on it and is just easier to leave on and wouldn't be a waste of time.Thank you for taking time to read my exposition, I hope that by now you agree with me.

There shouldn't be a class captain

Hello everyone,
 in this exposition I will tell you why there shouldn't be a class captain in this class...

How would you like it if you didn't get to show any of your leadership skills because one person was chosen to be the leader?
An example is the helping hands jobs, One of those jobs is class leader.

The class leaders job is basically the same thing as class captain, but we all get a turn of being the class leader. So if we had a class leader only one person would get the job and others would miss out on showing their leadership skills.

In life we have to be fair to others, and if someone is voted class captain, They may think "I'm the leader so I'm the best and I can do what I want" which wouldn't be fair for the class.

Also, if someone was voted class captain they would get more privileges throughout the school.  So the others in the class they think they are at the bottom and the captains at the top.
It wouldn't be fair if one person got chosen for everything would it?

 Do you like people bossing you around?… Well that is exactly what a class captain would do!
The captain would give you commands and like a dog obeying its owner you would have to obey that person.
 And I don't think that we should be bossed around by our classmate all the time.


 Overall I think that we should not have a class captain. We should all share opportunities around so everyone can have a go. I hope that by now you are thinking the same as me.
